It is incredible... one month before my moving to London I will be exhibiting there! Yes, I was invited to show my work at Brick Lane, London... an area which has now broadened to being a vibrant art and fashion student area, with considerable exhibition space. A kind of New York Soho, but in London. My work will be part of a two week group exhibition “Art in Mind”, at Brick Lane Gallery: 15th July – 28th July with a preview opening night on Wednesday 16th July between 6-9pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Es increible... un mes antes de mudarme a Londres expondré ahí! The last time I visited Acapulco was 18 years ago. We were there after being a whole week in Puerto Escondido, one of the best beaches I have ever been and after that I was really disenchanted... But again one of my painter friends: Rosario invited us (the painters group) and this week I was there again. My experience was completely different because she and her husband know well Acapulco and they took us to fantastic places. The best was Barra de Coyuca, a dream place where a lagoon and the Pacific Ocean almost touch. The first two pics belong to this enchanted place. It was a surrealistic experience, because we were alone in that beautiful lagoon surrounded only by exotic birds with so many colors that they would be competing with my oils :) the water was as hot as in a bath tube and the lagoon was in some places very deep and in some spots so flighty that it enabled us to put a table and drink some mezcal there.

I love plants, and I even love more trees... When my children were still babies I once found a small plant at the terrace. I realized it was not a bush but a baby jacaranda tree and in order to plant it later, I put it in a bigger pot waiting for the time I would be able to plant it. I wanted to plant it in a place I own, in order to take care of that tree, but up to now we have never been owners, we have always rent the houses in which we have lived... Once we did buy a plot of land and Luis asked me to plant my tree there, but I didn't. We were cheated with that investment so it was good that I haven't plant my beloved tree there. But now I will leave Mexico and my mother promised me to take care of all my plants and pots, but I cannot stand that my tree still has to wait for a piece of land in order to be planted. I asked my mother if I can plant my tree at her place, but she told me that around her house there are many people that cannot stand having to sweep everyday t...
