odettes

Last weekend we were invited to dinner.  A very good Italian friend has cooked for us.  The dinner was real simple: some roasted aubergines, stuffed tomatoes and potatoes… but the flavour!  Incredible that something that simple could taste that good.  But the cooker was Italian and they do have a special taste for everything.  The whole evening was incredible, not only the food, but the wine, the chat, the jokes, and at the end an amazing tea ceremony!  (for me, who loves rituals) After enjoying this great evening I realized that I am very lucky because I have very good Italian friends.  I know that not all Italians are like that…  but I am very fortunate to have found maybe some of the best persons in Italy.  Thanks to these friends I have been able to go deeper into the Italian Culture, that is in fact sooo rich, and the truth is the more I know about Italy, the hungrier I become. I love the Italian way to be, to flirt, to enjoy life, to...

Here you could see some pics of The Mall Galleries Opening On July 20th.  The Mall Galleries is a prestigious gallery located at London West End, just in the road that leads you to Buckingham Palace.  The exhibition looked fantastic! We all were so happy. ---------- Aquí pueden ver algunas fotos de la inauguración del 20 de Julio en la Galería The Mall. La Galería The Mall es una prestigiosa falería localizada en el centro de Londres, justo en la avenida que nos lleva al Palacio de Buckingham.  La exposición lucía fantástica! Todos estábamos muy felices.

While my children were waiting for the last train to Heathrow I took them a picture and this one reminded me a pic I took 17 years ago when they both were looking at me too but from the window from our house... ------- Mientras mis hijos estaban esperando por el último tren a Heathrow les tomé una foto y ésta me recordó una foto que les tomé a ambos, 17 años atrás cuando ambos me están mirando a mi también pero de la ventana de nuestra casa...

I am very happy and proud to announce that Highgate Contemporary Art in London (Hampstead Heath Area) will represent me  and some of my paintings will be included now at its Summer Mixed Show:  from 21st July to 4th September 2010.  The private view will be held on Tuesday 20th July. So that day I have two vernissages, because the other one is that same day at The Mall Galleries (near Trafalgar Square), so if you happen to be near, please stop by and see my work in real :) ---- Estoy muy feliz de anunciarles que la Galería Highgate Contemporary Art en Londres (en el área de Hampstead Heath) me representará y algunas de mis pinturas serán incluídas anora en su Muestra de Verano del 21 de Julio al 4 de Septiembre del 2010.  La inauguración tendrá lugar el 20 de Julio.  Así que ese mismo día tendré dos vernissages, porque la otra es justo ese día en The Mall Galleries (cerca de Trafalgar Square), así que si acaso están cerca, les ruego se den una vuelta y vea...

London is gorgeous in summer.... and even more if we receive visit from Germany and Italy! ------- Londres es bellísimo en verano....y más aún si recibimos visita de Alemania e Italia!
