Show Time

Image
Now I am not at all at home... that means I have no time to paint :( and this will continue till I set up all the things I have to do prior to my moving. My solo exhibition takes most of my time... but I also have to admit that I spend a wonderful time when people come and watch my exhibition. Most of them are good friends... so I enjoy it very very much.

I am posting here the exhibition space, because I liked very much the way the paintings were arranged. I exhibited 30 paintings... but the truth is that I had chosen 37 paintings for this exhibition, but when I painted I didn't realized the way all those paintings will look together. When I was at the gallery the museography expert showed me how bad some paintings looked together and we decided then to take off 7 paintings. Less is more, isn't it?

Five years ago... on April 3rd, 2003 took place my first exhibition. That means that today is my birthday!!! as a painter :) So, today is very special for me... I remember that most of the people I knew were shocked. My father gave me a big speech: "Odette, you may not stop working, you have a family, please don't be silly...from where do you pretend to live? Answer: From painting! My father: You are nuts! But the best thing in life is to do the thing we love... I used to work in so many things that the list would be long. I was always unhappy, I worked for money. On year 2000 I started to paint, due to my work at the office I could only paint on Saturdays... after some while I realized that the only day of the week that I could find joy, was Saturday....and I wanted all days to be Saturdays, so I decided to be a full time painter :) The only person that always believed in me and that always supported me was my husband. Today I want to thank you Luis... Later many frien...
