Today, just a week before my solo show I was invited to show my work in a group exhibition. I was happy to be there because I was besides showing my work with my dear painter friends.
I only exhibit there 2 paintings, the acrylic of the first pic and a long oil. Yes, I am surrounded with my painter friends :)
Pizarr, Para mi esta expo fue muy bonita por la posibilidad que me brindó de festejar con mis amigos pintores, con la mayoría de los cuales me reuno cada semana para dibujar con modelo.
After being there with you yesterday, I realised that it is a wonderful space where to exhibit your masterpieces... congratulations my dear. I see your friends are also skilled artists!!!
This weekend I went twice to the Royal Academy of Arts to the talks of Mexican Architects. The first talk on Saturday was by architect Michel Rojkind. I thought that because during my youth I lived in another country, and it was one of the best experiences in my life. That other country was Germany, and since then I longed for Europe, well I confess I still do… because you should know, England is not Europe. Of course this is my very personal view. I was born in Mexico City, a vibrant and chaotic city. Mexico is a surreal beautiful country. When you are abroad you worth it even more. You might wondered then, why did we decide to leave Mexico? Well, we decided to leave Mexico because my country was becoming very insecure. It was during president Calderon’s failed drug war. Mexico was so violent that we decided to migrate for the sake of our family. I have been very lucky to be able to travel a lot during my lifetime. When I was a kid, I was two months in China. It was the China of Mao ...
