This watercolor is already on my web site, but today takes place the birthday of two very special friends of mine: Norma and Fernando and I wanted to post a watercolor I do like very much. That's why I decided to post Odalisca :)

I like Odalisca... and I also like your paintings. Your watercolors mainly. Does that mean that I am light? Light in my feelings? In my own perception, watercolors are as ideas, the ideas you always want to later improve to a better work of art... but isn't the first idea, or the firs impression the one the one that always is in your mind?
Thank you for your comment anonymous... I agree with what you say, I express myself better though watercolors. When I use water I work very fast, I don't care what's happening, which color will suit better the painting. Feelings rule. Everything is through emotion, no time to think, I enter in another dimension which is in fact very similar to my being. I am not a thoughtful person, I am also not patient and above all I am impulsive.

13 years ago I took a leap of faith and came with my family to London. I thought it was going to be easy. It was not. I thought that because during my youth I lived in another country, and it was one of the best experiences in my life. That other country was Germany, and since then I longed for Europe, well I confess I still do… because you should know, England is not Europe. Of course this is my very personal view. I was born in Mexico City, a vibrant and chaotic city. Mexico is a surreal beautiful country. When you are abroad you worth it even more. You might wondered then, why did we decide to leave Mexico?
